Oh! What a day!
Today we woke up and ate breakfast in Grove City, PA. After packing the bus at 8:30 the group was on our way to The Big Apple!
We stopped for lunch in a little group of restaurants along the highway on the boarder of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, ate quick as Paul filled up the bus with gas. We drove the infamous traffic riddled New Jersey Turnpike at rush hour and finally driving through the tunnel into New York City!
Te second we entered, Paul goes into his full tourist guide mode, driving us around Madison Square Garden, The Trump Building, and Columbus Circle. He dropped us off infront of where John Lennon was killed where we then walked down Central Park West to the mall. Some walked around Central Park, some walked and shopped in the mall. But we got our first taste of New York City... And by the way, in the words of Buddy the Elf, "The Yellow [cars] don't stop!"
After a bit in NYC, we drove down to LaGuardia to pick up Dan and Sienna, then finished our trek to Seaford. When we arrived, we were greeted with open arms and very present New Yorker accents. We ate true New York Pizza, with poppy an sesame seed crusts and slices big enough we had to fold.
We finished the night with a brief rehearsal and as I write we're watching the Hawks hopefully lead Chicago to the Stanley Cup!
Pictures From myself and others below and more tomorrow!
